SORAT’H, FIFTH MEHL:
सोरठ महला ५ ||
- ਗੁਰ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ||
I am a sacrifice to my Guru.
गुर अपने बलहारी || - ਜਿਨਿ ਪੂਰਨ ਪੈਜ ਸਵਾਰੀ ||
He has totally preserved my honor.
जिनि पूर्ण पैज सवारी || - ਮਨ ਚਿੰਦਿਆ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਇਆ ||
I have obtained the fruits of my mind’s desires.
मन चिंदिआ फल पाया || - ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅਪੁਨਾ ਸਦਾ ਧਿਆਇਆ || 1 ||
I meditate forever on my God. || 1 ||
प्रभ अपना सदा धेआया || १ || - ਸੰਤਹੁ ਤਿਸੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਈ ||
O Saints, without Him, there is no other at all.
संतहो तिस बिन अवर न कोई || - ਕਰਣ ਕਾਰਣ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸੋਈ || ਰਹਾਉ ||
He is God, the Cause of causes. || Pause ||
कर्ण कारण प्रभ सोई || रहाऊं || - ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਅਪਨੇ ਵਰ ਦੀਨੇ ||
My God has given me His Blessing.
प्रभ अपने वर दीने || - ਸਗਲ ਜੀਅ ਵਸਿ ਕੀਨੇ ||
He has made all creatures subject to me.
सगल जीअ वस कीने || - ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਆ ||
Servant Nanak meditates on the
Naam,
जन नानक नाम धेआया || - ਤਾ ਸਗਲੇ ਦੂਖ ਮਿਟਾਇਆ || २ || ५ || 69 ||
the Name of the Lord, and all his sorrows depart. || 2 || 5 || 69 ||
ता सगले दूख मिटाया || २ || ५ || ६९ ||
